Wassail!

Free Join us for a wassail at Midsummer Common community orchard on Sunday 14th January at 12 midday!
Wassailing is the ancient practice of visiting orchards, reciting incantations and singing to the trees to encourage them to thrive next year.
There will be musicians! Singing! Possibly pie!
Meet at the Newmarket Road entrance to the Orchard at midday. Green facepaint, any fancy dress involving foliage/fruit welcome but absolutely not necessary. Bring a pot or a pan to bang and make some noise.
There will be some wassail beverages (mulled cider/apple juice for non drinkers) but do feel free to make up your own and bring in a thermos – just Google “wassail recipe”! Please bring your own mug if you can.
