DESCRIPTION:Join us for a wassail at Midsummer Common community orchard on Sunday 14th January at 12 midday!\n\nWassailing is the ancient practice of visiting orchards\, reciting incantations and singing to the trees to encourage them to thrive next year.\n\nThere will be musicians! Singing! Possibly pie!\n\nMeet at the Newmarket Road entrance to the Orchard at midday. Green facepaint\, any fancy dress involving foliage/fruit welcome but absolutely not necessary. Bring a pot or a pan to bang and make some noise.\n\nThere will be some wassail beverages (mulled cider/apple juice for non drinkers) but do feel free to make up your own and bring in a thermos – just Google “wassail recipe”! Please bring your own mug if you can.

All ages and abilities welcome – if you’re a first timer\, just come along and we’ll make you welcome! \nPlease wear sensible shoes and warm clothes. Please bring your own water and consider bringing a thermos of a warm drink.
